RE: APPROVE RECEIPT OF TITLE IV-E FUNDS FROM THE STATE OF COLORADO
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of § 26-1-111(2) (d) (II) (C) , CRS, monies
available under the Title IV-E Program created under the federal "Social Security
Act", as amended, is to be distributed to counties within the State of Colorado
as long as certain prerequisites have been met, and
WHEREAS, Weld County, Colorado, desires to receive said monies and to
expend the same on "property tax relief. "
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, hereby accepts any Title IV-E monies received pursuant to
§ 26-1-111(2) (d) (II) (C) , CRS, and shall deposit said funds in the Social Services
Fund and expend such funds on "property tax relief" as required by said statute.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 26th day of July, A.D. , 1993.
