RE: CERTIFICATION OF FORT JUNCTION PUD SPECIAL ELECTION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on March 29, 1994, the Fort Junction PUD Special Election was held
concerning the creation of the Fort Junction PUD Law Enforcement Authority, with
the total number of qualified voters casting ballots being zero, and
WHEREAS, on March 30, 1994, the Board of County Commissioners appointed the
Canvass Board to certify said Special Election, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to declare the Law Enforcement
Authority not to be created, pursuant to Section 30-11-405(5) , CRS, and
Resolution #940039, dated January 10, 1994, creating the Law Enforcement
Authority shall not become effective.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Certification of the Fort Junction PUD Law Enforcement
Authority be, and hereby is, accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Fort Junction PUD Law
Enforcement Authority be, and hereby is, declared not to be created and
Resolution #940039, dated January 10, 1994, shall not become effective.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 4th day of April, A.D. , 1994.
