RE: APPROVE EXTENSION OF LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN WELD COUNTY, COLORADO AND THE
ISLAND GROVE REGIONAL TREATMENT CENTER, INC. , AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO
SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Extension of Lease Agreement
between Weld County, Colorado and the Island Grove Regional Treatment Center,
Inc. , and
WHEREAS, said agreement concerns the two-story building located at Island
Grove Park, with the original term of said agreement being from January 1, 1990
through December 31, 1992, and
WHEREAS, the term of said extension is from January 1, 1993, through July
1, 1994, with the further terms and conditions being as stated in said extension,
and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said
extension, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Extension of Lease Agreement between Weld County,
Colorado and the Island Grove Regional Treatment Center, Inc. , be, and hereby is,
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be, and hereby is,
authorized to sign said extension.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 7th day of April, A.D. , 1993, nunc pro tunc
January 1, 1993.

EXTENSION OF LEASE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, on November 20, 1989 the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado and The Island Grove Regional Treatment Center, Inc. entered
into a lease agreement for the following described real estate, to-wit:
The two-story building presently used by Tenant and known as the
Alcohol Recovery Center, formerly the Weld County Hospital, located
between Centennial Village and the 4-H Building at Island Grove Park
and consisting of approximately 9, 000 square feet. The property
included in this lease agreement shall also include the grounds
bordered by the parking lot on the north, on the east by the park,
on the west by the drive between the Landlord's property and private
farmland, and on the south by a parking lot, the Tenant having
occasional access to this parking lot on the south for the purpose
of public meetings.
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section I of lease agreement, the lease
automatically terminated January 1, 1993, unless the parties to the agreement
extended the term of such lease agreement in writing.
WHEREAS, both the County of Weld and the Island Grove Regional Treatment
Center, Inc. agree to extend the lease agreement from the first day of January,
1993, and continue for a period of eighteen months, whereupon on the first day
of July, 1994, it shall automatically terminate by its own terms unless both
parties, in writing, extend the terms of such agreement.
In witness whereof, the parties hereto have caused this lease agreement
extension to be executed this 7th day of April, A.D. , 1993, nunc pro tunc to the
first day of January, 1993.
