It will be approximately 8' x 10' and will be attached to the south side of one of the buildings we now use for our business. Our precision optics manufacturing business operates here under special review permit no. 797. This utility shed will allow us to remotely locate an air compressor and a centralized vacuum cleaning system that we require for our clean room. This equipment is noisy and would be disruptive to our precision manufacturing operations if it were located in our main buildings. Please call me if you have any questions. This permit allows us to operate a business related to the design, coating, testing and fabrication of precision optics. These are mostly optics for use in laser systems. As you may know we have remodelled a barn for use in this business and we are in the process of remodelling part of a large chicken coop. I would like to know if we can make the following improvements in our business: 1. Run a water line to the chicken coop. 2. Install a bathroom and septic system for the chicken coop. (I realize that this will also require health department approval. ) 3. Run an additional underground electric service from the barn to the chicken coop. 4. Remodel the silo attached to the barn for use for office and lab space. This project might be difficult and too expensive for our company to carry out but I would like to investigate this if we can get permission. Thank you for your help. The Department of Planning services' staff have reviewed your request and determined the request is not considered to be a major change to the approved special review permit. However, you must submit the proposed changes to the Weld County Health Department, Weld County Building Inspection Department, and Longmont Fire Protection District for review and all construction must be in accordance with their regulations.
