RE: ACTION OF THE BOARD CONCERNING DEMOLITION OF DANGEROUS
BUILDING - L & W PARTNERSHIP
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on August 8 , 1990 , the Department of Planning
Services informed the Board that a building considered to be
dangerous to persons under the Uniform Code for the Abatement of
Dangerous Buildings is on property described as the SWi of Section
26 , Township 3 North, Range 68 West of the 6th P.M. , Weld County,
Colorado, said property being owned by L & W Partnership, and
WHEREAS, at the meeting of August 8 , the Planning staff
recommended that the Board grant the owner an extension of time,
until September 19 , 1990 , to clean up and remove the debris from
the property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that L & W Partnership be,
and hereby is, granted an extension of time, until September 19,
1990, to clean up and remove the debris from the hereinabove
mentioned property.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 8th day of
August, A.D. , 1990 .

County, Colorado, located at 4101 Weld County Road 28.
CASE SUMMARY
4-16-90 Letter sent with citation of dangerous building under the Uniform
Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings. Fire damaged
dangerous building ordered to be demolished by June 16, 1990.
Property owner waived appeal of order to demolish building by not
responding within specified time period.
6-19-90 Property inspected. House and shed demolished. Large amount of
debris remaining on property.
7-17-90 Property inspected. No change from June 19, 1990, inspection.
Two pictures taken.
7-23-90 Telephone conversation with Leroy Louwagie inquiring about the
violation.
7-24-90 Notice of hearing sent.
7-30-90 Letter received from property owner requesting 45 day extension
to clean up debris on property.
The Department of Planning Services recommends that the Board grant an
extension of time until September 19, 1990, to provide time for the property
owner to clean up and remove the debris from the property.

Dear Mr. Cunliffe,
I appreciate you bringing to my attention the need to clean up the debris from
the fire damage at location 4101 Weld County Road 28.
I am in the process of lining up the help and equipment to clean this up. I would
appreciate an extension of 45 days to get this job done. I'm confident it will be
done by September 15, 1990.

Mr. Leroy Louwagie (507-625-1241) telephoned about my letter of July 19. I
explained in more detail about the violation. Mr. Louwagie indicated that
he wanted the property to be in compliance. I offered to send him pictures
of the property taken on July 17, 1990, and a list of the demolition
specifications the County uses when requesting bids for demolition and
clean-up work. I explained the hearing process to him and how he could
request an extension of time in writing. He indicated he would probably
send a letter requesting an extension of time to clean up the property to be
in compliance. I mailed copy of photographs and demolition specifications
to him.
