RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO HOUSING PRESERVATION GRANT AGREEMENT WITH FMHA,
DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Amendment to the Housing
Preservation Grant Agreement between the Farmers Home Administration, Department
of Agriculture, and Weld County, and
WHEREAS, said amendment extends the Housing Preservation Grant Agreement
executed by said parties on August 1, 1992, to June 30, 1994, with the further
terms and conditions being as stated in said amendment, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said
amendment, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Amendment to the Housing Preservation Grant Agreement
between the Farmers Home Administration, Department of Agriculture, and Weld
County be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be, and hereby is,
authorized to sign said amendment.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 2nd day of August, A.D. , 1993.

This Amendment between Weld County
herein called "Grantee," and the United States of America acting through the !
Farmers Home Administration, Department of Agriculture, herein called "FmHA,"
hereby amends the Housing Preservation Grant Agreement executed by said parties
on August 1
1992 , hereinafter called the "Agreement." I
Said Agreement is amended by extending the Agreement to 6/30 1994
and/or by making the following changes noted in the attachments hereto:

SUBJECT: Amendment to Housing Preservation Grant Contract
DATE: July 27, 1993
We are recommending your Board approval of the attached Amendment to the
Housing Preservation Grant Contract. The amendment will extend the Contract
for the program to June 30, 1994. Housing Preservation Grant dollars are
used to leverage CDBG funds in order to maximize useage of our Housing
Rehabilitation funds.
The current contract expires on July 31, 1993. Our last CDBG contract expired
on April 30, 1993. We were anticipating that we would have another State
CDBG/HOME contract to continue housing rehabilitation activities by May 1,
1993; this did not occur. We have, however, received an award letter from
the State Department of Local Affairs, which awarded $370,000 to Weld County.
The Contract for that award should be arriving shortly.
To date a total of $46,091 has been expended from HPG funds. The total
amount of Housing Preservation Grant funds awarded were $94,000.
