RE: APPROVE REQUEST FROM UNDESIRABLE PLANT MANAGEMENT ADVISORY BOARD
TO REQUIRE MANAGEMENT PLANS FROM CERTAIN LANDOWNERS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a request from the Undesirable Plant
Management Advisory Board to require that certain landowners be required to submit integrated
weed management plans, and
WHEREAS, the criteria, pursuant to Section 35.55-107(4)(c), CRS, for determining whether
each landowner is required to submit a management plan as stated in Exhibit A, a copy being
attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, and
WHEREAS, after study and review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the request from the Undesirable Plant Management Advisory Board to
require that certain landowners be required to submit integrated weed management plans be, and
hereby is, approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 31st day of October, A.D., 1994.

Dear Board of Weld County Commissioners:
The Undesirable Plant Management Advisory board would like to request landowner
management plans from the two landowners listed below. According to CRS 35-5.5-107(4c), the
advisory board must submit to the county commissioners, for their approval, the landowners they
wish to seek integrated weed management plans from.
This board has established criteria for requesting weed management plans from landowners. At
least one if not two of the following criteria must occur before we will seek management plans
from a landowner.
1.) Continually negligent landowners;
2. ) Multiple complaint property;
3. ) Size of infestation- 20% of property or greater;
4. )Noxious weed along waterways.
We may also seek weed management plans from other landowners later in the season.
