(MLRB Permit No. M-79-113) Dear Mr. Schuett: This letter is a written request from Western Mobile, Inc. to Weld County to restore to active status the above referenced special use permit for the mining of sand and gravel pursuant to the mining and reclamation plan previously approved by the Weld County Planning Commission and the Board of County Commissioners in 1979. Previously, the site was mined by Western Paving Company under the terms and conditions of a lease agreement with St. Vrain Ltd., owners of the subject property at the time. However, since the initial agreement and subsequent mining activities the subject property was sold by St. Vrain, Ltd. to Boulder Creek Estates and Western Paving Company was reorganized to become Western Mobile, Inc. Primarily as a result of these changes, and a number of secondary factors, mining on the subject property was temporarily suspended. Western Mobile, Inc. and Boulder Creek Estates are in the process of entering into a new lease agreement whereby Western Mobile will complete the mining and reclamation of this site, according to the plan previously approved by Weld County. Therefore, it is important that the special use permit status for this operation be reactivated as soon as possible. Western Mobile would greatly appreciate it if you would advise our consultant in this matter, Mr. Mike Hart, about the county's requirement for the reactivation of this pit. You can reach Mike at (303)444-6602. Your prompt attention to this matter will be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, (-6-r—r—'6194/he Todd R.
