SUBJECT: FmHA Housing Preservation Grant Final Application f 19
DATE: July 19, 1994
As discussed at the Housing Authority Work Session of July 18th, we have received notification from
Farmers Home Administration that our application which was submitted in April has been selected for
finding in the full amount of$90,000.
The awarded finds will leverage HOME funds to rehab eight owner occupied single family owner
occupied units in the rural areas of the County. $75,000 will be available for program funds and $15,000
for administration of the program. Management policies for the HPG program are identical to our
HOME program with the exception that HPG funds may only be used in rural areas of the County and
that the occupant family own the property for at least one year prior to assistance.
Since Farmers Home utilizes a two step application process, we have been asked by Farmers Home
Administration to submit a final application by August 1, 1994.
We are recommending that the Board approve the submission of the final application.
