RE: CREATION OF COMPREHENSIVE SOLID WASTE PLAN AD HOC COMMITTEE AND
APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado Statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has previously appointed members
to the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Board, which Board is at present exploring the
various issues and policies concerning the Weld County Comprehensive Plan, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners sees the need for an Ad Hoc
Committee to be appointed to develop a Comprehensive Solid Waste Plan for Weld
County, and
WHEREAS, said Comprehensive Solid Waste Plan shall be reviewed by, and
shall be subject to, recommendation by the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Board, and
WHEREAS, said Comprehensive Solid Waste Plan shall be subject to the
ultimate approval by the Board of County Commissioners, and
WHEREAS, said Ad Hoc Committee shall also develop a south county site for
a household hazardous waste receptacle site.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Weld County Comprehensive Solid Waste Plan Ad Hoc
Committee is hereby created and shall consist of eleven members, and the
following individuals be, and hereby are, appointed to the Weld County
Comprehensive Solid Waste Plan Ad Hoc Committee for terms of one year, with the
Board of County Commissioners reserving the option to appoint said persons to
additional terms as determined by the Board: Jerry Alldredge, Lanny Clary,
William Hedberg, Nancy Fichter, Terrie McKellar, Chuck Olmsted, Ben Slater, Norma
Taylor, Chris Thomas, and Misty Lees.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that Commissioner George Baxter shall
also serve on said Comprehensive Solid Waste Plan Ad Hoc Committee for the period
of one year.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that:
1. The duties of said Committee is to develop a Comprehensive Solid
Waste Plan for Weld County and report said Plan to the Weld County
Comprehensive Plan Advisory Board.
2. The Committee is also directed to develop a south county site for
the depositing of household hazardous waste.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 27th day of June, A.D. , 1994.
