Carver, wish to apply for a Sub-Division Exemption to divide our property located at 18526 Weld County Road 8. (Attached to this application is a Recorded Exemption Application for 18526 Weld County Road 8 and 18560 Weld County Road 8. ) Reasons for our application are as follows: 1 ) Property known as 18526 Weld County Road 8 is only connected on the south (with the purchase of 18560 Weld County Road 8 by Albert J . Schupman, Sr. and Janet M. Schupman as recorded on November 19, 1978, in Book 852 as Reception No. 1774028) as noted on the attached drawing. Since there is no access to Lot B as indicated on the Recorded Exemption without going out on Road 8, the Bowles Seep Canal would appear to be a natural division for the property. Therefore, we are requesting that we be able to sub-divide as noted on the attached drawing. 2) Because Mr. Carver is no longer able to continue with all of the requirements of farming the irrigated alfalfa field, we must pay someone else to do most of the labor. Therefore, we are requesting permission to sub-divide off the house and connected acreage. Located on this acreage is a single family dwelling served by a domestic well and septic tank, a tack shed, shop, and five pole barns suitable for horses or cattle. The other parcel which now comprises 18526 Weld County Road 8 is the irrigated alfalfa field which contains two parts connected by a bridge across the Canal, and there are no improvements on either parcel. There is, however, an irrigation well and pump located on the north parcel. If we are granted permission to sub-divide 18526 Weld County Road 8 in this manner, we would then be able to retire from farming, selling off the irrigated alfalfa field and possibly our residence so we might move to a place where maintenance will be easier. Since this is agricultural property, we would like to maintain that designation. All properties around us are used for agricultural purposes where owners/renters raise crops and/or animals.
