RE: ESTABLISH APRIL 1, 1993 AS EFFECTIVE DATE OF PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO WELD
COUNTY ZONING AND BUILDING CODE ORDINANCES
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Planning Services is currently preparing
amendments to the Weld County Zoning and Building Code Ordinances, and
WHEREAS, said proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance will delete the
requirements for staff-issued zoning permits for mobile and manufactured homes
to be used as accessory farm use, accessory structures, accessory offices, and
accessory uses in the Commercial or Industrial Zone Districts, and
WHEREAS, said proposed amendments to the Building Code will delete the
permit requirements for the reroofing of single family dwellings and
noncommercial detached accessory structures, residing of structures, replacement
of existing gas water heaters, and fences, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Planning Services is recommending the Board
establish April 1, 1993 as the effective date of the proposed amendments, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to establish April 1, 1993 as the
effective date of the proposed amendments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that April 1, 1993 be, and hereby is, the effective date of the
proposed amendments to the Weld County Zoning and Building Code Ordinances.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Director of Planning be, and
hereby, is directed to delete the requirements for the above named permits after
April 1, 1993.

Effective date of propos amendments.
Subject:
The Planning Department is currently preparing amendments to the Weld County
Zoning and Building Code Ordinances. The proposed amendments to the Zoning
Ordinance will delete the requirements for staff issued zoning permits for mobile
and manufactured homes to be used as accessory farm use, accessory structures,
accessory offices, and accessory uses in the Commercial or Industrial zone
districts.
The proposed Building Code amendments will delete the permit requirements for the
reroofing of single family dwellings and noncommercial detached accessory
structures, residing of structures, replacement of existing gas water heaters,
and fences.
The amendment processes are anticipated to take approximately 60-75 days. The
Planning Department is recommending that the Board establish April 1, 1993 as the
effective date of the proposed amendments. Individuals would not be required to
obtain the permits that the staff is proposing to delete through the amendment
process after April 1, 1993.

119-L, AND WELD COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE, ORDINANCE NO. 89-Z
A public hearing was conducted on May 26, 1993 at 9:00 A.M. , with the
following present:
Commissioner Constance L. Harbert, Chairman
Commissioner W. H. Webster, Pro-Tem
Commissioner George E. Baxter
Commissioner Dale K. Hall
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Carol Harding
County Attorney, Bruce Barker
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to notices dated April 28, 1993, and duly
published May 6, 1993, in the Windsor Beacon, a public hearing was
conducted to consider amendments to the Weld County Building Code
Ordinance, Ordinance No. 119-L, and the Weld County Zoning Ordinance,
Ordinance No. 89-Z. Bruce Barker, County Attorney, made both a matter of
record. Mr. Barker read Ordinances No. 119-L and 89-Z into the record.
There was no public testimony offered. Commissioner Webster moved to
approve Ordinance No. 119-L on first reading, based upon the
recommendations of the Planning Commission. The motion, seconded by
Commissioner Kirkmeyer, carried unanimously. Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved
to approve Ordinance No. 89-Z on first reading, based upon the
recommendation of the Planning Commission. The motion, which was seconded
by Commissioner Baxter, carried unanimously.
This Certification was approved on the 2nd day of June, 1993.
