Home My WebLink About940612.tiff RESOLUTION RE: AUTHORIZATION FOR WELD COUNTY TREASURER TO CANCEL CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY TAXES WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, Francis M. Loustalet, Weld County Treasurer, has submitted a list of certain personal property taxes assessed for various years, which are deemed to be uncollectible, in the amount of $5,287. 14, said list being attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as Exhibit "A", and WHEREAS, Francis M. Loustalet has certified to the Board that he has exhausted all means for collecting said personal property taxes, and WHEREAS, Section 39-10-114(2) (a) , CRS, as amended, provides that any taxes levied on personal property which are determined to be uncollectible after a period of one year after the date of their becoming delinquent, may be cancelled by the Board of County of County Commissioners. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the personal property taxes assessed for various years, in the amount of $5,287. 14, as set forth in detail in said list attached hereto as Exhibit "A", be, and hereby are, designated as uncollectible and, therefore, are cancelled in accordance with Section 39-10-114(2) (a) , CRS, as amended. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 27th day of June, A.D. , 1994. On the attached sheet are the accounts that were collected by Central Services this past year. The amounts showing are the fees or cost of collection. This past year Central Services collected $17,623.80 and the cost of collection $5,287.14. Net gain to Weld County was $12,336.66. It is the request of the Weld County Treasurer's Office that the amount showing be canceled. Thank you for your endeavor in this matter.
