LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTY: Part of the NW4 of Section 10, T2N, R68W of
the 6th P.M. , Weld County, Colorado.
LOCATION: South of Weld County Road 119, east of Weld County Road 7.
USR-627 was approved in 1984. The applicant was Zigan Sand and Gravel. The
Special Use permit was for a sand and gravel mine. Attached is a letter from Lee
Mortensen, Senior Vice President, Western Dairyman Cooperative, Inc. , which now
owns the property, requesting the Special Review permit be vacated. Also
attached is a letter from the Mined Land Reclamation Division of the Department
of Natural Resources, stating that the reclamation has been completed.
The Department of Planning Services' staff recommends the Board of County
Commissioners vacate USR-627 at the request of the property owner.

Dear Mr. Zigan:
I am pleased to inform you that on May 27, 1992, the Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Board released Zigan Sand & Gravel from further responsibility for
the Zigan Pit No. 4. Enclosed is the United Bank of Littleton' s Irrevocable
Letter of Credit No. 332-K in the amount of $36,505.00 and the Performance
Warranty you originally provided. These are released in their entirety. You
should advise your bank of this release by copy of this letter.
The Mined Land Reclamation Board and the Division staff wish to commend Zigan
Sand & Gravel for your reclamation efforts and the resulting success.
