RESOLUTION
RE: ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING WAIVER OF TEN-DAY WAITING PERIOD FOR
CONSIDERATION AND INVESTIGATION OF THE COMBINED MAPO CHEMICAL BID -
EXTENSION SERVICE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article XIV, Section 14-9 of the Weld County Home Rule
Charter, the ten-day period for consideration and investigation of bids submitted
must be waived by resolution of the Board for emergency purposes, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Purchasing has requested waiver of the ten-day
period for the Combined MAPO Chemical Bid for the Extension Service, Bid Request
No. 200006-92, due to a price change which will go into effect on February 1,
1992, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to waive the
ten-day waiting period for said bid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the ten-day waiting period for the Combined MAPO Chemical
Bid for the Extension Service, Bid Request No. 200006-92 be, and hereby is,
waived.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the low bid for each item listed
on Bid Request No. 200006-92 be, and hereby is, approved.
The abotn_and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted_ hy-the following vote on the 29th day of January, A.D. , 1992.

Re: Chemical Purchase for Pest and Weed Department
The Weld County Pest and Weed Department requested bids for herbicides for the
1992 spray season. The bids have been received. We also received a list of
herbicides that were bid on the state bid list. I recommend that we evaluate the
state bid list with the bids we received and purchase each chemical item from the
low bidder.
The following chemicals are listed by the low bid supplier from the bids the
County requested and the low bidder from the state list.
