HomeMy WebLinkAbout920353.tiff RESOLUTION RE: ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING PETITION FOR LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT - WELD COUNTY ROAD 8 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, a Petition for a Local Improvement District on Weld County Road 8 was submitted to the Board by owners of property which is more particularly described in said petition, and WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to schedule a Preliminary Hearing concerning this matter for May 13, 1992, at 10:00 a.m. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that a Preliminary Hearing to consider the aforementioned Petition for a Local Improvement District be, and hereby is, scheduled for May 13, 1992, at 10:00 a.m. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 27th day of April, A.D. , 1992. O /I We, the undersigned citizens of Weld County, who are owners of record of real property, propose to be assessed a part of the cost of paving, and which property will benefit from improvement of: Weld County Road 8 from the end of the existing paving approximately 2,350 feet east of Weld County Road 27 to Weld County Road 45; situated in Weld County, Colorado, do hereby petition the Honorable Board of County Commissioners of the County of Weld, State of Colorado, for the formation of a local improvement district pursuant to CRS, 30-20-601, et seq. We represent that the real property listed in this petition(s) will be assessed more than one-half of the $113,000.00 in costs proposed to be assessed to the local improvement district. Such improvement district is for the purpose of: Paving Weld County Road 8; The specific improvements we wish to have constructed are as follows: Pave and shoulder the above described road; We request that the following materials be used: Six inches of aggregate basecourse; and 3 inches of asphalt pavement, 24' wide; The specific manner of assessments we recommend is as follows: The property owners be assessed $500 per individual parcel of land adjoining Weld County Road 8 from the end of the existing paving approximately 2,350 feet east of Weld County Road 27 to Weld County Road 45 and $500 per lot in Vantage Acres No. 1, Vantage Acres Filing No. 2, Vantage Acres Filing No. 3, Apollo Subdivision, Second Replat of Apollo Subdivision, Green Acres, Country Estates, Country Estates Second Filing, Country Estates Third Filing, Country Estates Fourth Filing; We request that the cost to the improvement district not exceed $113,000.00; The specific manner of payment we recommend is as follows: The assessment shall be payable either in full, without interest, or over a 10-year period, at an interest rate of 8%, with the principal being divided into 10 equal annual payments, and the interest computed to the unpaid balance. -51\00 920353 • Yi We understand that the base construction and shoulder work will be performed by Weld County and will not be assessed against the properties.
