RE: SET HEARING DATE FOR FORT JUNCTION PUD LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, by Resolution dated December 8, 1993, the Board did approve the
request of The Villa at Greeley, Inc. , c/o John T. Coppom, for a Site Specific
Development Plan and Planned Unit Development (PUD) Plan, 1st Filing, Fort
Junction PUD, and
WHEREAS, on January 10, 1994, the Board deemed it advisable to set
January 31, 1994, as the date to consider the creation of a law enforcement
authority for said Planned Unit Development Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that January 31, 1994, at 9:00 a.m. , be, and hereby is, set as
the hearing date to consider the creation of Fort Junction PUD Law Enforcement
Authority.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 10th day of January, A.D. , 1994.

Applicant: The Villa at Greeley, Inc.
Request: A site specific Development Plan
and a Planned Unit Development Plan
(Fort Junction, First Filing)
Dear Commissioner Harbert:
On December 8, 1993 , the Board of County Commissioners approved the
application of The Villa at Greeley, Inc. , for a site specific
development plan in the Fort Junction PUD for the construction of
a pre-parole facility.
Plat Note a. of the Fort Junction PUD District Map, Condition l.a.
of the Resolution of the Board of County Commissioner dated March
8, 1989, and Paragraph 2 .v. of the Resolution of the Board of
County Commissioners dated December 8, 1993 , require, in
essentially identical language, that a Law Enforcement Authority be
formed in accordance with applicable state law capable of being
expanded to serve other areas in the I-25 MUD.
Law Enforcement Authorities are authorized by the "Law Enforcement
Authority Act of 1969" , C.R.S. 30-11-401, et.seq, as amended. The
statute requires that such authorities be formed by resolution of
the Board of County nnra4ee4nnarS en cted 1n accordance with

procedures set forth in the statute.
The Villa at Greeley, Inc. , hereby requests that the Weld County
Commissioners proceed, with all deliberate speed, to form a Law
Enforcement Authority with respect to that portion of the Fort
Junction PUD included in the Site Specific Development Plan
