RE: APPROVE ACCEPTANCE OF DONATION OF $200.00 TO WELD COUNTY SHERIFF' S OFFICE BY
CHURCH WOMEN UNITED
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant
to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the
authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , Church Women United has donated $200.00 to the Weld County inmate GED
program, to be used specifically for books and supplies, and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of Weld County to formally accept all donations via
Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the donation of $200.00 by Church Women United be, and hereby
is , accepted and designated for use by the Weld County inmate GED program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that a copy of this Resolution, along with
a letter of appreciation, be forwarded to Church Women United.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 2nd day of January, A.D. , 1991.

The Weld County Sheriff's Office received a $200 donation from Church Women
United to be used for expenses connected with the inmate GED program,
specifically books and supplies.
T am requesting that the Board accept this donation by Resolution.

Dear Sir :
Each year at this time Church Women United makes donations to
agencies in the Greeley area who are helping others . We are
happy to enclose with this letter a check for $200 which we
would like to have used for books and supplies for any
inmate working toward a GED .
Our funds come from the dues and donations of the women from
_the 11 churches in Greeley and LaSalle that make up CWU.
We also use any surplus from our clothing bank at 1031
Fourth Street .
We hope our check will help with the GED program at the Weld
County jail .
