Dear Mr. Hedberg and Mr Scheere:
The Hazardous Materials and Waste Management Division (the Division) of the Colorado Department of
Health has completed the review of the "Final Report Supplement, Quality Assurance/Quality Control for
Phase I Module I Cell Construction, North Weld Sanitary Landfill." The Division has the following comments
regarding this report.
1- The text in the introduction letter and on page 7 of the report states the construction criteria is 1 x
10 -7 cm/sec. It should state that the construction criteria is less than or equal to 1 x 10-' cm/sec.
2. Please provide on the tables, the design limits of the liner parameters for easy reference.
3. The tables reference various sample points. Please provide a detailed map that shows the location
of the sample points.
The issues presented above shall be addressed in a comprehensive document submitted to the Division for
review. If you have additio ques ons, please contact Roger Doak or Austin Buckingham at this office.
