Ladies and Gentlemen:
Please accept our thanks for your time in review and
consideration concerning our recently approved Site Specific
Development Plan and amended Special Review Permit. As you will
recall the purpose of the project was for the relocation of our
communications tower at the request of the Denver International
Airport and the Federal Aviation Administration.
Though there were few objections raised during the proceeding
there did seem to be a logical concern by area residents concerning
the strobe lights to be used on the tower. Since the tower's
completion we have had a call from one of the neighbors again
concerned about the brightness of the lights. You will be happy to
know that we have contacted the FAA and received their permission
to install a dual-phase lighting system. This means that at or
near sunset when the light sensors sense light dimmer than 35
candlefeet the strobes will be turned off and a system of red
beacons will come on. In addition, the strobes are being louvered
as you requested to direct the flash during the day above
immediate area ground level.
We hope that our efforts result in happier neighbors. I have
given them this same information. It is our intent to be sensitive
to all concerns within our control. Accordingly, please contact me
