RE: APPROVE INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES ON 71ST
AVENUE BETWEEN WEST 10TH STREET AND U.S. HIGHWAY 34 BYPASS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has recommended to the
Board that traffic control devices be installed on 71st Avenue
between West 10th Street and U.S. Highway 34 Bypass, said devices
being 40-mile per hour and 45-mile per hour speed limit signs, and
WHEREAS, the Board did determine that said speed limit signs
be installed as indicated on the diagram attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference, and
WHEREAS, upon recommendation of the Engineering Department,
the Board has determined that the installation of said signs are
necessary for the protection of the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Engineering
Department be, and hereby is, directed to install 40-mile per hour
and 45-mile per hour speed limit signs on 71st Avenue between West
10th Street and U.S. Highway 34 Bypass , said signs shall conform
to the State Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 7th day of
