RE: APPROVE REPLACEMENT OF "YIELD" AND "YIELD AHEAD" SIGNS WITH "STOP" AND
"STOP AHEAD" SIGNS AT THE INTERSECTIONS OF WELD COUNTY ROADS 40 AND 55 AND
WELD COUNTY ROADS 42 AND 53
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Engineering Department has recommended to the
Board that the "Yield" and "Yield Ahead" signs be replaced with "Stop" and "Stop
Ahead" signs on Weld County Roads 40 and 55 and Weld County Roads 42 and 53, to
insure safety to the traveling public, and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that said traffic devices are necessary
for the protection of the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Department of Engineering be, and hereby is, directed
to replace "Yield" and "Yield Ahead" signs with "Stop" and "Stop Ahead" signs
on Weld County Roads 40 and 55 and Weld County Roads 42 and 53, for the safety
of the general public, and said signs must conform to the State manual and
specifications.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 2nd day of August, A.D. , 1993.
