RESOLUTION RE: APPROVE INSTALLATION OF "STOP AHEAD" AND "STOP" SIGNS ON WELD COUNTY ROAD 88 AT ITS INTERSECTON WITH WELD COUNTY ROAD 13 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS , the Weld County Engineering Department has recommended to the Board that "Stop Ahead" and "Stop" signs be installed, in cooperation with Larimer County, on the east approach to Weld County Road 88 at its intersection with Weld County Road 13 , to insure safety to the traveling public, and WHEREAS, the Board has determined that said traffic devices are necessary for the protection of the general public. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Department of Engineering be, and hereby is, directed to install "Stop Ahead" and "Stop" signs on the east approach to the intersection of Weld County Road 88 and Weld County Road 13, for the safety of the general public, and that said signs must conform to the State manual and specifications. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 5th day of March, A.D. , 1990 . `77) j. Box 758 Greeley, CO 80632 Subject : Traffic Control - Intersection Larimer County Road 901 and Larimer County Road 52/Weld County Road 88 Dear Drew: Attached is a copy of field data collected in response to a request for stop sign control of this intersection. The field evaluation noted restricted sight distance due to the residence and trees on the northeast corner, a vertical curve on CR 901 north of this intersection. Stop signs are recommended for the east and west approaches to CR 901. The east leg approach is in Weld County and must be approved by Weld County. Please let me know when approval is received from the Board of County Commissioners and we will schedule placing signs with your sign crew to place the sign for Weld County Road 88 . Thanks.
