RE: APPROVE INSTALLATION OF "30 MPH SPEED LIMIT" SIGNS IN ARISTOCRAT
RANCHETTES
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, to insure safety to the traveling public, the Weld County
Engineering Department has recommended to the Board that "30 MPH Speed Limit"
signs be installed on all roads entering Aristocrat Ranchettes as follows:
Morris Avenue, Dale Avenue, Nancy Avenue, Caroline
Avenue, Mary Avenue, Lamb Avenue, Coleman Avenue, Good
Avenue, Harold Street, Richard Street, Henry Street,
Hart Street, Woodruff Street, and Patrick Street
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that said traffic devices are necessary
for the protection of the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Department of Engineering be, and hereby is, directed
to install "30 MPH Speed Limit" signs on the abovementioned roads entering
Aristocrat Ranchettes, for the safety of the general public, and said signs must
conform to the State manual and specifications.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 7th day of June, A.D. , 1993.

Subject: Speed T.imi rs--Aristocrat Ranchettes
As a follow-up to my memo of May 13, 1993, regarding traffic control issues in
Aristocrat Ranchettes, I recommend the Board of Weld County Commissioners
establish a 30 mph speed limit on all the roads within Aristocrat Ranchettes.
30 mph speed limit signs should be placed on all roads entering Aristocrat
Ranchettes as follows:
Morris Avenue, Dale Avenue, Nancy Avenue, Caroline Avenue, Mary
Avenue, Lamb Avenue, Coleman Avenue, Good Avenue, Harold Street,
Richard Street, Henry Street, Hart Street, Woodruff Street, Patrick
Street.
The speed limit signs should be placed on the above listed streets adjacent to
the county roads bordering Aristocrat Ranchettes. All signs would be placed
in accordance with the manual on "Uniform Traffic Control Devices" .
I request the Board of Weld County Commissioners approve a resolution
authorizing a 30 mph speed limit as outlined in this memo.
