RE: APPROVE INSTALLATION OF 35-MILE-PER-HOUR SPEED LIMIT SIGNS ON
BRANTNER ROAD BETWEEN 35TH AVENUE AND U.S. HIGHWAY 85
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Department of Engineering has
recommended to the Board that 35-mile-per-hour speed limit signs
be installed to control traffic on Brantner Road between 35th
Avenue and U.S. Highway 85 to insure safety to the traveling
public, and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that said traffic devices
are necessary for the protection of the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Road and Bridge
Department be, and hereby is, directed to install 35-mile-per-hour
speed limit signs to control traffic on Brantner Road between 35th
Avenue and U.S. Highway 85 for the safety of the general public,
and that said signs must conform to the State manual and
specifications.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 18th day of
July, A.D. , 1988 .

Subject: Spann Zoning, Brantner Goad
Attached is a signing diagram and request from Marc Street,
Maintenance Support Supervisor, to speed zone Brantner Road between
U.S. 85 and 35th Avenue, to a speed of 35 miles per hour.
Because of the alignment of Brantner Boulevard in the unpaved areas,
and the traffic and entrances along the paved stretches, I agree with
Mr. Street's request. I recommend the Commissioners pass a resolution
authorizing the speed zone.
