Be it Resolved by the Weld County Planning Commission that the requested increase to land-use permit application fees be forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners with the Planning Commission's recommendation for approval based upon the following: The attached materials have been prepared to demonstrate the need for the increased fees. The overall concept is to recover as much of the costs associated with regulating and administering zoning and subdivision functions in the County. The fees are not recouping total costs based on the latest available figures used to project the administrative and indirect costs we are experiencing in the department . The fees collected go toward offsetting the costs of the Planning Department. The estimated revenue, if collected, will offset approximately 50.9% of the Planning Department's approved 1990 budget. 1f approved, the new fees will become effective January 1, 1990. Motion seconded by LeAnn Reid.
