Home My WebLink About880821.tiff RESOLUTION RE: GRANT REQUEST OF WELD COUNTY SHERIFF' S OFFICE FOR CONVERSION OF PROPERTY FOR PUBLIC SALE WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Weld County Sheriff ' s Office has presented a list of property held by their office which is unclaimed and/or abandoned, and for which a reasonable inquiry has been made to identify and notify the rightful owner. Despite such efforts, the owners cannot be identified or located, and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 28 , Section 8 , the Weld County Sheriff has requested official conversion of said property described in Exhibit "A" for sale at a public auction, notice of which shall be published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the County at least ten days prior to such auction, a copy of said Exhibit being attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to grant said request. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the request of the Weld County Sheriff' s Office for conversion of property for public sale, as listed in Exhibit "A" , be, and hereby is, approved. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 17th day of August, A.D. , 1988 .
