RE: ACTION OF THE BOARD REGARDING REQUEST THAT SPEED LIMIT SIGNS
BE INSTALLED IN WESTVIEW ESTATES
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , the Board has received a request from Sam Little
that speed limit signs be installed in Westview Estates, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to refer
said request to the Weld County Engineering Department for
recommendation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the request of Sam
Little concerning the installation of speed limit signs in
Westview Estates be, and hereby is, referred to the Weld County
Engineering Department for recommendation.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 2nd day of
September, A.D. , 1987 .

This letter is to request that restricted speed signs be installed.
for Buffalo Road and Westview Drive located in Westview Estates , a
residential area north of Erie. In the past few years there has been
a marked increase in the use of this area by vehie1es_ _ of all
descriptions traveling at excessive speeds. There are many small
children now living in this development and we are concerned for
their safety and our sanity:
