RE: APPROVE CHANGE ORDER FOR JAIL
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Weld County entered into a construction contract on
September 8 , 1988 , with Swinerton and Walberg to remodel the Jail ,
and
WHEREAS, the Sheriff has recommended that a Change Order in
the amount of $5 , 845 . 00 is necessary to secure exterior windows.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Change Order in
the amount of $5 ,845 .00 concerning the contract dated September 7,
1988 , with Swinerton and Walberg be, and hereby is , approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 12th day of
April, A.D. , 1989 .

Dear Mr. Petruzzi:
We have compiled the following proposal for the remedial window
work for the hollow metal windows at the Weld County Jail in
Greeley.
In the base proposal we would remove and replace the exterior
caulking at the top of the window, fabricate and weld-up a new
steel strap along the top edge of the window, and paint the new
work. Our price would also include supervision, insurance,
protection for the gla and clean-up of the site. The cost of
this work would , :45.
If it is necessary to grout the tops of the window frames we
would do the following: Cut new holes in the window frame, hand
pump in the grout, patch the holes, and spot paint our patches.
This work would be an additional $10, 446. for a combined total of
$16,291.
