HomeMy WebLinkAbout861034.tiff HEARING CERTIFICATION DOCKET NO. 86-63 RE: FINAL BUDGET AND REVENUE SHARING HEARING A public hearing was conducted on October 29, 1986, at 10:00 A.M. , with the following present: Commissioner Jacqueline Johnson, Chairman Commissioner Gordon E. Lacy, Pro-Tem Commissioner Gene Brantner Commissioner C.W. Kirby Commissioner Frank Yamaguchi Also present: Acting Clerk to the Board, Mary Reiff Director of Finance and Administration, Donald Warden The following business was transacted: I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated September 12, 1986, and duly published September 18, 1986, in the Johnstown Breeze, a public Final Budget and Revenue Sharing Hearing was held. Don Warden, Director of Finance and Administration, made this hearing a matter of record. He stated that the hearing was published to include revenue sharing in the event revenue sharing would be available, but it will not be considered today. He said that a new certification of assessed valuation has been received, showing Weld County's assessed valuation as $906,609,900, a decrease of $657,270, due to the transfer of properties to the City of Thornton. Mr. Warden stated that the County's mill levy will need to be set at 19.860 mills. No public comment was received concerning the proposed 1987 budget. Mr. Warden recommended approval of a Resolution summarizing expenditures and revenues for each fund and adopting a budget for 1987. Commissioner Lacy moved to approve said Resolution. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Brantner and carried unanimously. Mr. Warden introduced Emergency Ordinance No. 145, regarding the appropriation of funds for 1987, which he read into the record. Commissioner Kirby moved to approve Emergency Ordinance No. 145 and direct the Clerk to the Board to publish forthwith. Commissioner Lacy seconded the motion and it carried unanimously. Mr. Warden introduced Emergency Ordinance No. 146, setting the 1987 mill levy at 19.860 mills, which he read into the record. Commissioner Lacy moved to approve Emergency Ordinance No. 146 and direct the Clerk to the Board to publish forthwith. The motion, seconded by Commissioner Brantner, carried unanimously. This Certification was approved on the 3rd day of November, 1986.
