HomeMy WebLinkAbout850550.tiff RESOLUTION RE: GRANT MOBILE HOME PERMIT NO. 974 - SLS TURKEY FARMS WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, on the 23rd day of January, 1985 , considered the request of SLS Turkey Farms for a mobile home to be used as more than one mobile home or accessory dwelling unit as an accessory to a farm, and WHEREAS, said mobile home is to be occupied in an A-Agricultural Zone District on a parcel of land being more particularly described as follows: The Ek NE4, Section 20 , Township 2 North, Range 67 West of the 6th P.M. , Weld County, Colorado WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, having heard the testimony, finds that said request should be granted subject to the following conditions: 1) the applicant shall apply for a building permit for the mobile home within thirty days from the date of approval by the Board of County Commissioners; 2) prior to the issuance of a building permit, the owner shall submit evidence that the proposed water tap is supplying water in such a manner as to be adequate in quality, quantity and dependability for the proposed use; and 3) the mobile home shall not be occupied until such time that the applicant has complied with the above mentioned conditions. The Department of Planning Services has not received any objections to this proposal from surrounding property owners. Those people living off the farm have to drive to work which could result in car problems, weather delays, etc. In the event of an emergency our people would be on the farm ready to care for the birds and/or property very quickly. Our turkeys require care before and after normal working hours so it is efficient to have our people right there on the farm. Having our people live on the farm saves us from paying rental allowances. Finally, security would be strenghtened- we ould ve less trespassing and vandalism.
