Based on the information submitted, the proposed channel improvement project meets the criteria established for General Permit 81-02 and has been assigned application number 00011. Accordingly, for the purposes of Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. 1344) and in accordance with 33 C.F.R. § 325.5(c)(1), the channel improvement work is authorized without further processing provided the stipulations, conditions, and criteria of General Permit 81-02 are strictly adhered to. Any changes to the location of the channel improvement work, the length of channel work involved or the amount of dredged material to be deposited along the banklines from that shown on the enclosed drawing may require additional Department of the Army authorizations. NOTE: The above determination does not obviate the requirement to obtain state or local assent as required by law.
