RE: APPROVE INSTALLATION OF SPEED LIMIT SIGNS ON WELD COUNTY ROAD
17 NEAR WELD COUNTY ROAD 50
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Road and Bridge Department has recommended to
the Board that speed limit signs be installed on Weld County Road
17 near Weld County Road 50 , and
WHEREAS, the Board did determine that speed limit signs be
installed as indicated on the diagram attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference, and
WHEREAS, upon recommendation of the Road and Bridge
Department, the Board has determined that the installation of said
signs are necessary for the proptection of the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Road and Bridge
Department be, and hereby is, directed to install speed limits on
Weld County Road 17 in the vicinity of Weld County Road 50 , said
signs shall conform to the State Manual on Uniform Traffic Control
Devices.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 17th day of
February, A.D. , 1988 .

Please place the following items on the Board of Weld County
Commissioners' agenda for traffic control resolutions:
1) Closure Weld County Road 24-1/2 at Barbour Ponds
2) Speed limit Weld County Road 17 at Great Western Railroad
tracks near County Road 50.
Both items have been reviewed by the Board through Work Session
Request forms. Also, the sketches for both locations are attached.
