Speckman, Executive Director, Human Resource Subject: Amendments to Purchase of Service Agreements with RE-1J & RE-5J Enclosed for Board approval are amendments to the Purchase of Service Agreements between Head Start and School Districts RE-1J and RE-5J. As you recall , the above mentioned school districts provide the hot lunches and snacks for the Head Start Centers located in Firestone and Johnstown. The U.S.D.A. has requested additional wording be added to each agreement. The amended agreement will now guarantee that each school district will maintain the menu/production records , meal counts, and food/milk invoices for audit and review purposes by Head Start. Each of the school districts are currently maintaining the records for their own U.S.D.A. reimbursement purposes. The amendment will not increase their work load or the meal prices charged to Head Start. The original agreements which were approved in September, 1985, remain in effect.
