RE: APPROVE ASSIGNMENTS OF LEASE FROM ST. MICHAEL EXPLORATION
COMPANY
o U WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home

affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and

WHEREAS, St. Michael Exploration Company received an Oil and
• Gas Lease from Weld County, Colorado, on September 9 , 1985 ,
(*o w concerning county roadways within the NW', Section 19 , Township 6
North, Range 65 West of the 6th P.M. , Weld County, Colorado, and

WHEREAS, a partial assignment of said lease from St. Michael
Exploration Company to William M. Butler, et al. , was recorded at
.. 0 Book 1087 , Reception Number 2027628 in the Records of the Weld
o x County Clerk and Recorder, and
in a WHEREAS, an assignment of said lease from St. Michael
2:Lc) Exploration Company and William Butler, et al. , to Conquest Oil
Ln z Company was recorded at Book 1087 , Reception Number 2027664 in the
W Records of the Weld County Clerk and Recorder, and

a WHEREAS, Conquest Oil Company now desires to assign all
N right, title and interest of said parcel to Wilken, Ltd. , 3400
gi"W West 16th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80631 , and,

o z WHEREAS, pursuant to Weld County' s Oil and Gas Lease, the

WHEREAS , after consideration, the Board deems it appropriate
a to approve the three assignments, subject to a fee of $25 .00 each.

c NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
1'4 ° Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the three assignments
m w of said lease, from St. Michael Exploration Company, concluding
with the assignment to Wilken, Ltd. be, and hereby are, approved
subject to the submittal of the fee of $25 .00 per assignment for a
total of $75 .00 .

Dear Mr. Kelley: RE: Request for Assignment Approval
Weld County Oil & Gas Lease
St. Michael et al/Conquest
Permission is hereby requested for approval by the Board of County Commissioners
of assignments of the Weld County/St. Michael Exploration Co. oil and gas lease,
dated September 6, 1985, recorded in Book 1084 under Rec. No. 2024482, which
lease covers certain tracts in the NNEI of Section 19, Township 6 North, Range
65 West, as follows:
Partial Assignment by St. Michael to William M. Butler et al,
Book 1087, Rec. No. 2027628
Assignment by St. Michael & William Butler et al to Conquest
Oil Company, Book 1087, Rec. No. 2027664
Assignment by Conquest Oil Company to Wilken, Ltd. (not yet made
but will be made in the near future)
Upon the assignment from Conquest to Wilken, Ltd. , 100% of the working interest
in the lease will be vested in Wilken, Ltd. , a Colorado limited partnership
whose address is 3400 W. 16th. Street, Greeley, Colorado 80631. As of today,
the lease has been pooled with other leases to form a spacing unit comprised of
the N2NW,i of Section 19.
