A Jc_ <... 850003 -5- SPECIFICATIONS FOR AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY MAPPING AND UPDATING AERIAL MAPS FOR WELD COUNTY SCOPE The scope of work is 'updating the serial photography and :mapping of Weld County. From the aerial photographs, permanent photographic maps will be printed on 32" X 36" heavy mylar sheets. The maps shall vary in scale, dependent upon the requirements of the County Assessor for each particular area. All aerial photographic information shall be printed on the reverse side of each sheet so that all necessary drafting work can be done on the front side without destroying the photographic features. All photographic and drafting work shall conform to the highest professional standards and shall be accomplished only by qualified draftsman and technicians working under the direct supervision of a principal engineer of this office. MAP DESCRIPTION All maps shall be produced on 32" X 36" standard mylar sheets with appropriate title blocks, index numbers, north arrow, scale dimension, revision block, and legend. On each sheet, a key of the entire County will be shown, along with a township, section, and/or quarter-section sketch which will clearly identify the exact area within the County represented by the map. MAP SCALES 1. Section Maps Scale: 1" = 200' 2. Quarter-Section Maps Scale: 1" = 100' Section Maps will normally be used except where there are more than 150 land parcels within the section. Quarter-Section Maps will be used in urban areas or to show residential subdivisions, or in any other area where there would be more than 150 parcels within the section. The actual scale to be used in mapping a given area shall be a decision of the County Assessor's Office, INFORMATION TO BE PLOTTED The Section Maps and Quarter-Section Maps shall be produced from new aerial photographs to be furnished by the Contractor. On all the above maps, the following information will be plotted from data furnished by the County. 1. All railroad rights-of-way. 2. All State highway rights-of-way. 3. All County roads and subdivision streets. 4. All rivers, streams, canals, and ditches. 850003 -6- 5. Fences indicating discrepancies in land descriptions (Quarter-Section Maps only) . 6. All subdivisions by name and number. 7. The boundaries and lot layout of all subdivided land. 8. All recorded dimensions of metes and bounds parcels. 9. The apparent and accepted boundaries of land parcels described by segments of a section (Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter, etc.). 10. Actual land boundaries with phantom lot boundaries shown where property line does not correspond with lot line. 11. Land parcel numbers by ownership in accordance with State numbering system shall be assigned by the County. 12. Street names on all subdivisions. SOURCES OF DATE The County Assessor's Office shall obtain and furnish from their records and other public sources all of the following information: 1. Legal description of individual land parcels. 2. All recorded subdivision plats. 3. Ownership statements showing description of lots or parcels to be combined under one ownership. 4. Railroad rights-of-way descriptions. 5. Highway rights-of-way descriptions. 6. Irrigation company maps and rights-of-way descriptions. 7. Pertinent information from the State Land Office. 8. Pertinent Federal Government survey information (U.S.G.S. , U.S.B.R. , U.S.B.L.M. , etc.) . All of the above materials shall remain the property of the County Assessor's Office and will be returned to them after the information has been incorporated into the new maps. This information shall be furnished in a systematic order and shall be coordinated with the maps requested. DISCREPANCIES IN DATA FURNISHED If any discrepancies in legal descriptions and other basic data are discovered, Contractor will identify these areas so that the County 850003 -7— Assessor's Office can render a decision of the proper disposal of these discrepancies. Upon the decision of the County Assessor's Office as to the proper disposal of the discrepancies, contractor will correct the original map without charge. It is understood and agreed that, although every effect will be made to plot all data accurately and precisely, Contractor cannot be responsible for discrepancies or conflicts contained in the legal descriptions and other furnished information. OWNERSHIP AND STORAGE OF MAPS The original tracings will remain the property of Weld County, and will be retained in the files of the County Assessor and County Treasurer's Office, so that they are readily available for copies to be made and will be pulled for corrections and updating as may be subsequently required by the County Assessor's Office. All original maps will be filed in fire-resistant metal files with lock. Weld County shall have the sole authority over the dispersal of prints of the completed maps. All original maps are confidential, and the successful bidder cannot copy any of these maps for personal or business use. TIME SCHEDULE FOR MAPPING AND DRAFTING Time for updating maps will be from July thru September, except where new maps are being requested to be photographed, and then all aerial photography must be done during periods of defoliation in order to secure the best photographic interpretation of the physical features. SELECTION OF AREAS TO BE MAPPED Weld County Assessor's Office shall select the areas to be photographed and also shall designate the scale of the map to be used for any given area, provided that the basic assignments comply with the map scale criteria described above. Cost of New Flown Maps The Contractor agrees to prepare and furnish the new flown maps of all authorized areas of Weld County for the unit price per map shown below. These unit prices shall include all aerial photography, photographic printing, drafting, plotting, and coordinating of the work, including all miscellaneous tools, equipment, and labor. Note: Rates should include costs for flying and photographing. *County guarantees minimum of ten maps if any are required at all during 1985. **Please note that estimated quantities are based on the previous year. Where, in the opinion of the County Assessor's Office, it is desirable to update the mapping program by having quarter-section maps made in areas where previous section maps have been prepared, this work will be performed at the same unit price shown above for original mapping, provided no additional aerial photographs are required.
