Subject: Foster Parent Recognition
Dear Gordon,
I would like to request that the Board of County Commissioners recognize
David and Ella Mae White for recently being named Foster Parents of the Year
for the State of Colorado by the Colorado Association of Foster Parents. As
such they will represent Colorado at the National Foster Parents Association
meeting.
Mr. and Mrs. White operate a group home in Eaton for the Weld County
Department of Social Services. They have been licensed foster parents in
Weld County since November 1, 1975, and group home parents since January 1,
1983. The group home cares for adolescent girls who are in conflict with
their parents, schools or law enforcement.
If you agree we would appreciate this item being placed on the
Commissioner's agenda for October 7th. If you have any questions please let
me know. Thanks for your consideration.
