RE: APPROVE INSTALLATION OF "STOP AHEAD" AND "STOP" SIGNS TO
REGULATE TRAFFIC ON WELD COUNTY ROAD 42 AT ITS INTERSECTION
WITH WELD COUNTY ROAD 19
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board did, by Resolution dated August 31 , 1988 ,
approve the installation of "Stop Ahead" and "Stop" signs at the
intersection of Weld County Road 19 and Weld County Road 42 , and
WHEREAS , due to clerical error, the Resolution stated that
said signs were to be installed on Weld County Road 19 at its
intersection with Weld County Road 42, and
WHEREAS, the recommendation of the Weld County Department of
Engineering was that "Stop Ahead" and "Stop" signs be placed on
Weld County Road 42 at its intersection with Weld County Road 19
to insure safety to the traveling public, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to correct the
Resolution as hereinabove stated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Resolution of
August 31 , 1988 , be and hereby is corrected.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Road and Bridge
Department be, and hereby is, directed to install "Stop Ahead" and
"Stop" signs to control traffic on Weld County Road 42 at its
intersection with Weld County Road 19 for the safety of the
general public, and that said signs must conform to the State
manual and specifications .

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 19th day of
September, A.D. , 1988 .

Subject: Resolution concerning weld County Roads 19 and 42
After receiving this resolution hark after being signed by the
the Board, Marc Street, Maintenance-Support Supervisor, informed
me that the stop signs should actually be placed on weld County
Road 42 instead of on weld County Road 19.
Please let me know what will be done concerning this.
