BRM 0007 (2) i 17TH ST. BRIDGE IN BOULDER
The Department s Divitioi of Highways accepted four bids at the
February 7 opening for a project to replace the 17th Street bridge over Boulder
Creek in Boulder. Bebo Construction Company, Inc. of Berthoud submitted an
apparently successful bid of $739,327 on the project, which requires completion
within 95 working days following the Notice to Proceed.
Hal Toland of Boulder is resident engineer. The project includes
grading, structures, hot bituminous and concrete paving, and lighting.

FCU 157-1 (9) STREET IMPROVEMENTS IN BOULDER
Lawrence Construction Company of Littleton turned in an apparently
successful bid of $949,567 at the Division of Highways February 7 opening to
improve two locations in Boulder. One site is Arapahoe Avenue just east of 47th
Street; the second is just north of Pearl St. at the future 47th Street Parkway.
Work includes grading, structures, a concrete box culvert, stabilization, paving,
topsoil, seeding and mulching.
Five firms submitted offers. After the project begins, the Arapahoe Ave.
construction requires completion within sixty workable days but the Pearl St.
Construction is to be completed within forty workable days. Resident engineer is
Hal Toland of Boulder.

IXMU 1022(1) COUNTY LINE ROAD SOUTH OF DENVER
A Set-Aside intersection improvement project south of Denver drew four
bidders at the Division of Highways February 7 opening. Only certified, prequalified
minority business enterprises were able to bid.
The project is located on County Line Road (the border between Arapahoe
and Douglas counties) beginning 0.3 mile west of S.Holly Street and extending half
a mile east. Included are grading, structures, paving, signing, striping, signal-
ization, topsoil, seeding and mulching.
An apparently successful bid of $756,669 was received from Roberts Con-
struction Company of Denver. Resident engineer is John Ward of Englewood; the
project is scheduled for completion within 100 working days.
