IR 25-1 (107) Z^25 BRIDGE SOUTH OF PUEBLO
The Department's Division of Highways accepted three bids at the January
24 opening for a bridge replacement project on Interstate 25 south of the
Pueblo/Huerfano county line.
Tectonic Construction Company of Englewood submitted an apparently
successful bid of $563,231 on the project, which begins 3.4 miles south of the
county line and extends 0.417 mile south over Apache Creek. Work includes hot
bituminous paving, striping, seeding, topsoil and landscaping.
Jim Gallant of Pueblo is project engineers the project requires com-
pletion within 140 working days following its Notice to Proceed.

MEMORIAL TUNNEL
Randall & Blake, Inc. of Littleton submitted an apparently successful bid of
$571,837 at the Division of Highways January 24 opening to perform work on an
Interstate 70 erosion control project in Summit county. Beginning four miles
west of the Eisenhower Memorial Tunnel and extending a mile and a half east,
the project consists of grading, structures, concrete lining of pipe, topsoil,
seeding and mulching. The project is to be completed within seventy workable days.
Three firms turned in offers. Resident engineer is Wes Goff of Frisco.

I IR 76-1(82) I-76 IN DENVER METRO AREA
I-76 construction in Jefferson county drew three bidders at the Division of
Highways January 24 opening. The project begins 0.7 mile east of Wadsworth Blvd.,
just west of Marshall Street, and extends 0.8 mile northeast to Sheridan
Blvd. It includes grading, structures, paving, signing, striping, lighting, lands-
caping, topsoil, seeding, mulching, guardrail and bike path.
The project, scheduled for completion within 270 calendar days following the
Notice to Proceed, will be coordinated by resident engineer S. W. Horton of Arvada.
An apparently successful bid of $2,214,654 was received from Siegrist
Companies of Denver.
