The Weld County Pest and Weed Department has already treated about 500 roadside miles, both sides, with over $3,000 worth of insecticide. I suggest that we now request the $10,000 in state cost sharing money, from the the State Department of Agriculture. The state picks up 2/3 of the grasshopper roadside spraying program while the counties share is 1/3 of the cost. The counties share is in equipment and labor for spraying which is already established for our roadside/noxious weed control program. This request needs to be sent to the Colorado Department of Agriculture, c/o R. I . Sullivan, 1525 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203.
