RE: APPROVE LETTER OF AGREEMENT WITH BUCKLEN EQUIPMENT COMPANY,
INC. , CONCERNING THE PURCHASE OF GRAVEL FROM THE EMKE PIT AND
AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Letter of
Agreement with Bucklen Equipment Company, Inc. , for the purchase
of gravel from the Emke Pit for use on certain missile base roads,
and
WHEREAS , the terms and conditions are as stated in said
Letter, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to
approve said Letter, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Letter of
Agreement with Bucklen Equipment Company, Inc. , for the purchase
of gravel from the Emke Pit be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be, and
hereby is, authorized to sign said Letter.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 25th day of
April, A.D. , 1988 .

Weld County Commissioners RE: Minuteman Missile Base Roads
Colorado OM-AD 300(35)
Dear Commissioners,
As contractor for the above referenced job, we need to purchase
raw gravel supply of 4000 to 4500 yards from the Emke Pit. We will mine
the material for base to be spread on Roads 122 and 105 as required
in the Federal Highway Administration contract. Raw materials have been
purchased from local area pits to be placed on the missile base roads
in the past. After mining, we will leave area in good condition.
We will pay Emke royalty of .50 cents per yard and Weld County
Commissioners royalty of .10 cents per yard.
Logan County Commissioners have signed the gravel agreement for the
Kokes Pit to supply that portion of Missile Roads for our contract.
