RE: APPROVE CONTRACT ADDENDUM BETWEEN WELD COUNTY AND
INTERMOUNTAIN RESURFACING, INC. CONCERNING SLURRY SEAL
PROJECT AND AUTHORIZATION FOR CHAIRMAN TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, a Contract, dated May 18 , 1983 , with Intermountain
Resurfacing, Inc. was approved by the Board of County
Commissioners for application of a slurry seal coating on certain
Weld County roads, and
WHEREAS, the performance of said slurry seal coating was not
as anticipated, and
WHEREAS, a Contract Addendum, between Weld County and
Intermountain Resurfacing, Inc. , has now been presented to the
Board for its approval, and
WHEREAS, the Addendum is for the re-sealing of certain
portions of Weld County roads to be done by Intermountain
Resurfacing, Inc. , and
WHEREAS, after study and review the Board deems it advisable
to approve said Contract Addendum, a copy of which is attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Contract Addendum
between Weld County and Intermountain Resurfacing, Inc. , be, and
hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be, and
hereby is, authorized to sign same.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:
A. This proposal is valid if accepted within 30 days of date of issuance.
B. Our payment terms are net 10 days from invoice date-subject to 111% interest per month, 30 days from invoice date.
C. Projects requiring more than 30 days to complete or extended due to weather conditions will be billed on a partial basis each month for
that portion of work completed to date.
THE INTERMOUNTAIN RESURFACING, INC. WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING:
A. For damage to underground utilities, wiring, sprinklers, water valves,manholes,etc.;that are not brought to our attention by plans,
specifications, or discussion prior to construction.
B. For the establishing of property corners, lines, etc.; to determine limits of construction.

SLURRY SEAL AND JET SEAL LIMITATIONS
A. The slurry surface shall not be applied if either the pavement or air temperature is 55°F.or falling. The mixture will not be applied if high
relative humidity prolongs the curing period beyond a resonable time.
B. INTERMOUNTAIN RESURFACING,INC.will not be responsible for surface deflection cracking after the slurry seal has been applied.
C. INTERMOUNTAIN RESURFACING, INC. will not he responsible for any damage to existing asphalt in areas that are not stable due to
poor sub-base and/or weak asphalt, while work is being done. .t
