respectfully shows that the taxes assessed against your petitioner for the years A. D. 193.2...,
1983 , 19 84 , are erroneous or illegal for the following reasons, viz:

from this property went from $410 ,080 to $541 ,630 causing taxes on
the property to go from below $30 ,000 . to over $43 ,000 . During this
period of time the property was mostly vacant and continued to
depreciate. The main sugar factory processing building has not been
used sense 1976. Only the silo storage and flat storage have been
used. However the silo' s are currently vacant.
Even though the sugar factory has not been used sense 1976 , in
1984 , it was assessed more taxes than the operating sugar factory in
greeley. Durning an on site inspection in 1985 the assessor dropped
the valuation of the property to one fifth the 1984 valuation.
It becomes obvious that the taxes assessed during the 1982-84
period are erroneous. We therefore ask that you make the following
adjustments

Vessels Oil and Gas Company and Richard F. Thomas were both
notified that their petitions for abatement or refund of taxes
would be heard today. However, Mr. Hansen is in Denver and unable
to he present. Representatives of both petitioners were contacted
and have indicated that continuation of this item until April 23 ,
1986 , is agreeable to them.
