RESOLUTION
RE: APPROVE ESTABLISHMENT OF OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Weld County, because of the necessary planning,
preparation, and response to emergency situations, does require an
Office of Emergency Management, and
WHEREAS, Weld County has been operating an Office of
Emergency Management under the control of the Sheriff, and
WHEREAS , the Federal Government has requested a formal
resolution designating the establishment of the Office of
Emergency Management.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, hereby establishes the
Office of Emergency Management and places it under the control of
the Weld County Sheriff.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 14th day of
December, A.D. , 1988 .
