RE: APPROVE REQUEST OF WELD COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE FOR
CONVERSION OF PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Sheriff's Office has presented a
list of property held by their office which is unclaimed,
abandoned, or lost, and for which reasonable inquiries have been
made to identify and notify the rightful owners and despite such
efforts, the rightful owners cannot be identified, and
WHEREAS , pursuant to Ordinance No. 28 , Section 11 , the Weld
County Sheriff has requested official conversion of said property
described in Exhibit "A" , which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference, for use by the Weld County
Sheriff' s Office for normal duties and responsibilities, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable
to grant said request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the request of the
Weld County Sheriff' s Office for conversion of the property listed
on Exhibit "A" be, and hereby is, approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 2nd day of
March, A.D. , 1988 .
