RE: APPROVAL OF SUBDIVISION EXEMPTION NO. 240 - SIMPSON FARMS
COMPANY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has reviewed the
request of Simpson Farms Company for an exemption from the
definitions of "subdivision" and "subdivided land" in Section
30-28-101 (10) (d) , CRS, as amended, and Section 2-1 A. (3) of the
Weld County Subdivision Regulations, and
o u WHEREAS, this Subdivision Exemption request from Simpson
o Farms Company is to separate an additional set of existing
or-1 residential improvements and hog farrowing and finishing operation
o from its property in conjunction with Recorded Exemption No. 768 ,

Your application and related materials for the request described above are
complete and in order at the present time. I have scheduled a meeting with
the Board of County Commissioners on July 3, 1985 at 9:00 a.m. This meeting
will take place in the County Commissioners' Hearing Room, first floor, Weld
County Centennial Center, 915 10th Street, Greeley, Colorado. It is
recommended that you and/or a representative be in attendance to answer any
questions the Board members might have with respect to your application.
The Department of Planning Services staff will make a recommendation
concerning this application to the Board of County Commissioners. It is the
responsibility of an applicant to contact the Department of Planning
Services office a few days before the date of the hearing to obtain that
recommendation.

To Whom it May Concern:
Pursuant to the enclosed request for Recorded Exemption on
our Weld County farm as per the attached plat and Application
for Recorded Exemption we wish to set forth the following reasons
for said request.
We are making this request for Recorded Exemption as present
fee owners of subject property, however, we have contracted to
sell the proposed Lot "B" to Kenneth F. Wilhelm with a projected
closing as soon as the Recorded Exemption has been approved.
The proposed Lot "A" together with the land described in the
accompanying Application for Subdivision Exemption is being re-
tained by Simpson Farms Co. as headquarters for the hog farrow-
ing and finishing facilities located thereon. (This hog facility
has received county approval under SUP 245 748. ) Lot "B" will
maintain its present use as an agricultural unit and will be farmed
on a custom farming basis by Simpson Farms Co. for the 1985
crop year with future farming operations to be performed by
Mr. Wilhelm's nephew, Richard Wilhelm, who is presently farming
other lands in the area.
Current financial circumstances have necessitated a partial liquida-
tion of our present holdings and as both parcels will maintain
their present uses we respectfully request that you recommend
approval of our enclosed applications.
