RE : APPROVE INSTALLATION OF 25-MILE PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT SIGNS
FOR VEHICLES IN EXCESS OF 8 ,000 POUNDS ON WELD COUNTY ROAD 5
BETWEEN WELD COUNTY ROAD 6 AND WELD COUNTY ROAD 12
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado , pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , the Road and Bridge Department has recommended to
the Board that speed limit signs for vehicles in excess of 8 ,000
pounds be installed on Weld County Road 5 between Weld County
Roads 6 and 12 , and
WHEREAS, the Board did determine that 25-mile per hour speed
limit signs be installed on Weld County Road 5 between Weld County
Roads 6 and 12 , and
WHEREAS, upon recommendation of the Road and Bridge
Department, the Board has determined that the installation of said
signs are necessary for the protection of the general public .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Road and Bridge
Department be , and hereby is, directed to install 25-mile per hour
speed limit signs on Weld County Road 5 between Weld County Roads
6 and 12 , said signs shall conform to the State Manual on Uniform
Traffic Control Devices.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 27th day of
July, A.D. , 1987 .
