The sufficiency rating for this structure is 22.7 based on the latest Structure Inventory and Appraisal Report dated April 2, 1985. The average daily traffic was recorded from April 2, 1985 to April 4, 1985 with a count of 801. The structure was recently rated for Type 3, Type 3S2 and Type 3-2 vehicles at 8,8 and 9 tons respectively. Such weight limits obviously restrict the use of the bridge by agricultural and industrial (oil and gas) traffic in the vicinity. Significant deterioration of the bridge has occurred due to the age estimated at 1945. One example of deterioration is exposed and broken rebar. NARRATIVE FOR WELD COUNTY BRIDGE WEL 3/42A Bridge structure 3/42A is located on Weld County road 3 between Weld County roads 42 and 44 and crosses the Little Thompson River. The sufficiency rating for this structure is 21.9 based on the latest Structure Inventory and Appraisal Report dated January 17, 1985. The bridge is rated for Type 3, Type 3S2 and Type 3-2 vehicles at 4,6 and 6 tons respectively. Agricultural and industrial (oil and gas) traffic in the area is restricted by such low weight limits . The structure is a one-lane bridge with a bridge roadway width of 15.7 feet. Such a narrow bridge is very restrictive. The age of the structure has been estimated at 1935. Significant deter- ioration has occurred including a number of cracked timber stringers and a weakened south abutment. /COUNTY We/e!
