RE: CREATION OF WELD COUNTY BEEBE DRAW LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY
A public hearing was conducted on October 30, 1985, at 2:00 P.M. , with
the following present:
Commissioner Jacqueline Johnson, Chairman
Commissioner Gene Brantner, Pro-Tem
Commissioner C.W. Kirby
Commissioner Gordon E. Lacy
Commissioner Frank Yamaguchi
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Mary Reiff
Assistant County Attorney, Lee D. Morriosn
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated July 22, 1985, and
duly published July 25, August 1 and 8, 1985, in the Johnstown Breeze,
a public hearing was conducted to consider creation of the Weld County
Beebe Draw Law Enforcement Authority. Lee Morrison, Assistant County
Attorney, made this matter of record, and reviewed the steps necessary
for creation of a law enforcement authority. He explained that the
Board of County Commissioners would remain as the governing body and it
is expected that they would contract with the Sheriff's Office for law
enforcement services. Morris Burk, of Beebe Draw Land Company, and
John Houtchens, Attorney, were present to answer questions of the
Board. Commissioner Lacy moved to approve the Resolution declaring the
intent to create the Weld County Beebe Draw Law Enforcement Authority.
The motion was seconded by Commissioner Kirby and carried unanimously.
This Certification was approved on the 4th day of November, 1985.
